Put Back and Neck Pain Behind You

Our spine expert, Dr. Ethan Evert, has a unique, specialized training in Spinal Therapy from the International Spine and Pain Institute. His hands-on techniques provide an effective alternative to more invasive treatments.

Spine Therapy includes the treatment of:

Back Pain

80% of people will experience back pain sometime during their life. Back pain may be acute or chronic from a strain, trauma, stenosis, degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, bulging disc, etc. Typical symptoms may include shooting leg pain, loss of motion with activities of daily living, pain when standing, sitting, or walking short or long distances. You may even have pain with just getting out of bed in the morning. Dr. Evert can help you relieve pain by showing you stretches to regain flexibility and exercises to improve strength to prevent future problems. He can also perform techniques for mobility of the vertebrae if needed.

Neck Pain

It is estimated that neck pain effects 30% of the U.S. population every year. Neck pain ranges in a variety of symptoms including: stiffness, inability to turn head, tingling, sharp pain, dull pain, muscle spasms, difficulty sleeping. Neck pain can also affect other areas of the body like shoulders, arms, and hands. Research has shown that physical therapy is most often a better treatment for neck pain than surgery or pain medications (opioids like oxycodone and hydrocodone). With the help of Dr. Evert, you can decrease and eliminate your neck pain, avoiding the need for surgery or medication.

Headaches are complex and there are many types that require different treatments. Most people suffer from headaches that are incorrectly classified as migraines (headaches stemming from vascular issues), when in actuality the headaches are caused by postural, muscular, or joint problems. Dr. Evert will work with you to create a treatment program tailored to you, that can decrease the frequency and work towards the prevention of future headaches.

In most cases, Spine Therapy treatments begin bringing relief after just one visit.
