Reinjury rates are approximately 15%-25% for the groin, 44% for Achilles tendon, and 30% for ACL repairs. “These levels of reinjury are often attributed to returning to play too soon due to the athlete’s own desire, pressure from teams and coaches, a lack of understanding of the level of skills needed to return safely, or a combination of the above.”
